Designed by Howard Silva with the assistance of Edmund Parker Jr.

The history of the patch is as follows;
       "I was active in the creation and formation of the AKSC ( American
Kenpo Senior Council). I designed said patch and sent it to the AKSC
for consideration as the new organizations crest, it was rejected.

My concept was to design a patch that would immediately be
recognizable and would identify the wearer as a Parker student or
derivative thereof, hence the Parker crests outer configuration. The
tiger came from the corners of Mr. Parker's large black belt
certificate. The clock was tipped back to give a three dimensional
effect. This was done to symbolize the depth and dimension that Kenpo
had achieved through Mr. Parker's teachings. The dragon has five claws
which indicates that it is an Imperial Dragon. In it's claw is clutched
the pearl of wisdom."
